Although a small city, there’s an abundance of local shops and eateries to really get to enjoy Scotland’s cuisine and culture. Things to enjoy here include the Perth Leisure Centre which kids will love. There’s plenty of slides here to keep them going all day!

St. John’s Shopping Centre in Perth offers plenty of shopping options. From large retailers such as Primark and H&M to smaller independent eateries, you’re sure to find what you want here. And if it’s independent shops in Perth you are looking for, there’s a plethora!

Dundee

Silverwood

To the east of Silverwood is Dundee, Scotland’s fourth largest city. In 2014 Dundee was named the UK’s first (and to date, only) UNESCO City of Design. This recognised Dundee’s rich history in creative design. It is a sure sign that this is one city you have to visit whilst staying at Silverwood. It is now home to V&A Dundee: Scotland, a unique design museum that’s well worth a visit.

Other things to do in the city include a visit to one of the football grounds. You’ll need to decide if you are a Dundee FC or Dundee United FC fan first! From museums to architecture to a, 8ft tall bronze Desperate Dan statue which celebrates the legacy of the city’s publishing company, DC Thomson. Trust us, it’s worth it for a pic for Instagram!

Edinburgh

Silverwood

Drive an hour south over the Firth of Forth, and you will come to Edinburgh. Scotland’s capital city has to be on the visit list for any visitors, whether they have been before or not. There’s enough to keep you busy for a full day here – and enough to keep you coming back for more too. Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat, Scottish Parliament and Princes Street are all close to each other and all worth a visit.

Also, there are hidden gems here that you may not immediately come across. These include the Camera Obscura, The Real Mary King’s Close and the Writer’s Museum. Every corner hides a secret, so get exploring!
